Henk was born in Assen on 6 August 1954. He’s a husband, father and grandfather.
For more than forty years he worked with and among criminals. Not as the mob boss, but as the head of the criminal intelligence service and as a prison warden. He has talked with killers, rapists, robbers, and drug traffickers, as well as with the victims of serious crimes and their relatives.
Nowadays, he works as storyteller, voice actor, poet and organiser of small art and cultural events.
He lives with his wife Aleida in Snakkerburen, a hamlet near Leeuwarden on the Dokkumer Ee canal.
